Filip Mocescu, a 22-year-old from Romania, heard about Cumorah Academy in a way that many of our students do—through someone who had already felt its spirit.
“I’ve heard about Cumorah through the mother of a friend of mine,” he shares.
At the time, Filip was living with his parents, grandparents, and younger brother. He worked as a teacher in Romania and had a deep passion for helping children. But something was calling him to more—to expand his influence, to grow, and to take a leap of faith.

“After each interaction with mentors, I transformed my mindset.”
Even though he’s not a member of the Church, Filip was particularly touched by the Institute Class of Religion on campus.
“I’ve increased my spirituality and connection to God,” he reflects.
